Heartbeat International is committed to ensuring optimal care of its patients and therefore, recognizes the importance of assuring competence with rapidly evolving pacemaker and defibrillator technology and clinical indications.
Educational workshops are held both in the U.S. (annually) and abroad (periodically) in key regions. The U.S. workshop is held in conjunction with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Scientific Sessions; a well-respected educational forum in the world of cardiovascular specialists. Participating physicians and/or medical staff from Heartbeat International's Pacemaker Banks around the world are encouraged to attend the workshop as well as the scientific sessions, courtesy of the ACC.
Attendees experience a rare opportunity to hear superb lectures, clinical trials and case studies from a stellar faculty of cardiologists from around the world. Cultural and racial barriers are stripped, leaving a unified group of humanitarians bound by the mission of saving lives using Pacemakers as Peacemakers.
This year's workshop is planned to take place in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 24,2007.
